For Many years the thought of building a Church seemed like a dream. How could a poor mission like us ever think of trying to build in Russia. And so for many years, the parish met in a simple apartment chapel. But slowly the dream began to come true. We found a piece of land available. It even already had the beginnings of a foundation on which we could build. Then Fr. Michael made an appearance on the Mother Angelica Live show, appealing for help to build a church. And the wonderful viewers of EWTN came through with enough donations to begin the construction.

Furnishing the interior

The artwork for the interior of the Church is all from Russian artists.

The white marble for the Altar, Ambo, and Tabernacle Altar, were designed and produced by a quarry in Irkutsk. They also provided the white marble tiles for the sanctuary floor and Baptistry, and the red marble for the altar backdrop.

The Icons of the Nativity and Crucifixion are the works of Iconographer Sveta ... from Moscow. Recently she has also completed a set of 17! Stations of the Cross. The Tabernacle was commissioned from artists in Moscow also, along with the Mosaics for the outside of the Church.

Local Magadan artists produced the large standing Crucifix, the processional Cross, the icon of the Divine Mercy and the pews. Recently a local Magadan artist finished the stand and frame for the Icon of the Inexhaustible Cup.
